the Athletic Figure or Body Shape

ATHLETIC FIGURE - hips narrower then shoulders

If you have an athletic figure then designs which incorporate pleats and gathers on skirts, trousers and lower part of your body are exactly what you need.

Probable a two piece dress will flatter your shape, and you have the alternatives in combining them.

Flat cut on bias tops with fuller skirts or trousers. Added pockets, quite heavy draping and extensions around your hips is advisable for fullness.

Try to avoid any designs that are concentrated on your top, like ruffles, pleats or gathers.

FEW OUTFITS SUGGESTIONS FOR A FLATTERING ATHLETIC FIGURE:

Dresses - Sheath , Asymmetrical , Basque or Ball Gown (not as full though)

Neckline - V-Neck , Jewel , Turtlenecks (A high, tubular, often rolled-down collar that fits closely around the neck) or Victorian

Skirts - The pleated Range (without the pleated border skirt), tulip, bubble , yoke

Sleeves - concentrate on the ones with a fuller hemline. Bishop , Angel, Long Bell
